Beginner’s Burlesque at Curious – Term 2: Fever

Beginner’s Burlesque is back at Curious, and we’re so excited for the next term. These 8-week classes are designed to be welcoming, confidence-building, and lots of fun! Whether you’re brand new to burlesque or simply looking to reconnect with your playful side.

In this body-positive, inclusive space you’ll learn the art and history of burlesque while building confidence and exploring movement, character, and costume. Over the term you’ll learn a beginner-friendly routine, discover simple costume ideas, and be guided through easy, low-cost ways to create something fabulous.

This term students will learn a routine to “Fever” by Peggy Lee, inspired by classic, sultry burlesque elegance. There is an optional performance opportunity at our June showcase, but performing is never required - you’re very welcome to take the class purely for yourself!

Classes are taught by the performers you know and love from our Bar & Burlesque Nights, in a supportive space where everyone is welcome.

Term 2: Classic Burlesque
Routine: “Fever” – Peggy Lee
April 21 – June 9 (8 weeks)
Optional performance: June 12 (first 12 to enroll and opt in - TICK PERFORM AT SHOWCASE WHEN BOOKING)

Cost: $170 for the full term

Wear comfortable stretchy clothes for dancing — socks or simple flats are perfect to start.

NOTE: If you wish to participate in the Showcase and perform to an audience tick the box when booking - limited to first 12 spots.
